Homeostasis: My dog (Maisy) drinks water to maintain her body temperature. 

Eukaryotes: An organism consisting of cells and the DNA in the form of chromosomes within a distinct nucleus.

Amniotic Egg: contains a thin membrane that forms a closed sac; embryo or fetus of a reptile, bird, or mammal.

Reddox Reaction: shortened for reduction oxidation reaction. It involves the transfer of electrons between 2 chemicals.

Connective Tissure: Like in humans, the tissue connects, supports, binds, or separates other tissues or organs.

Unicellular Organisms: single celled organisms that consists of only one cell, which can be found on door handles.

Tropism: the turning part or all of an organism in a particular direction due to external stimulus. The flower facing towards the sun.

Succession: a number of organisms or things sharing a specific character. Like my dogs they both share the characteristic of the four legs and a tail.

Radial Symmetry: symmetry around a central axis.

Xylem: vascular tissue in the stem of a plant that transfers water and nutrients upward from the roots.

    So if your dog were to drink, say hot milk, or nothing at all, her overall body temperature would be different than if it were water?
